RGI Airport in Hyderabad receives hoax bomb threat email

HYDERABAD: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport customer care received a bomb threat email on Monday, leading the authorities to carry out an anti-sabotage check. It was eventually declared a hoax as no explosive substances were found.

A police case was registered against the offender.

Late on Monday night, the airport police received a complaint from the airport chief security officer alleging that they had received a bomb threat email. As per standard procedure, an anti-sabotage check was carried out by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and no explosive or suspicious objects were found during the check.
