Renewable energy will meet half of Karnataka’s energy needs by 2030, says Minister Sunil Kumar

New renewable energy projects in Karnataka will add 12,340 mw of power, helping the state to source half it’s energy needs from clean energy sources by 2030, Energy Minister Sunil Kumar Karkala said on Friday.

The MoUs that have been signed in the sector have a cumulative worth of Rs 1,68,545 crore, he said, speaking at the valedictory of the global investor meet (GIM).
