Relief for commercial gas users as LPG prices slashed by around Rs 40 in an off-cycle move

In what could be a relief for commercial cooking gas users like hotels and restaurants, the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) cut prices of 19 kg LPG cylinders by Rs 39.50 across the four metros on Friday.

State-owned Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) usually revise prices of cooking gas and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) on the 1st of every month, based on the average international price in the previous month.
