Redevelopment work of Sambalpur Railway Station is going on at a fast pace – Details inside

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the facelift of Sambalpur Railway Station in Odisha is going on at a fast pace. Once all work is done, the station will provide ‘improved passenger amenities’, said the Ministry of Railways, on Saturday.

“Redevelopment work is progressing swiftly for Sambalpur Jn. in Odisha, with modifications to add new lines, platforms, and pit lines. Upon completion, it will significantly boost train handling capacity with improved passenger amenities,” tweeted the Ministry on X.

In Odisha, Sambalpur railway station serves Sambalpur district and is a major railway junction in the state. It is also the headquarters of Sambalpur railway division.
