Redevelopment work of Mecheda Railway Station is going on at a fast pace – Details inside

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the redevelopment of Mecheda Railway Station in West Bengal is going on at a fast pace. Once completed, it will “modernise travel experience” for passengers, said the Ministry of Railways, on Thursday.

“Bustling with construction work to modernise travel experience! Mecheda Railway Station, West Bengal,” informed the ministry on X.

Mecheda railway station serves Mecheda, in Purba Medinipur district. The junction is on the Howrah–Kharagpur railway line and is 58 km from famous Howrah Station. It has six platforms.
