Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, redevelopment of Nagpur railway station is going on at a fast pace. After completion, the junction will provide improved passenger amenities, said the Ministry of Railways, on Tuesday.
“The ongoing redevelopment of Nagpur Jn. of Maharashtra is progressing rapidly. Upon completion, the station will improve passenger comfort & amenities,” the ministry informed on X.
Station code NGP, Nagpur railway station is an important junction on the Howrah–Mumbai and Delhi–Chennai trunk line of the Indian Railways. It comes under the A1 category and, in terms of total bookings, is one of the top 100 railway stations of the Indian Railways system. It has eight platforms and 13 railway tracks.
