REC chief on rooftop solar mission, diversifying into non-power infra & zero NPA plans

Vivek Dewangan, CMD, REC, says “other than refineries, we are also targeting the electromechanical components for the steel power plant. One project we have already taken up in the state of Odisha. Other than that, we are targeting the railway projects. We are also targeting road and highway projects, airports, metro, super-speciality hospital, IT infrastructure, data centres. Sectors where revenue cash flow is assured and the asset quality is good, we will be venturing into financing of this non-power infrastructure and logistics.”
