Railways suspends two loco pilots for jumping red signal, moving 2 km on wrong track

Railways has suspended the loco pilot and the assistant loco pilot of the Jammu Tawi-Sealdah Express for jump ing a red signal near Bhabhua Road station in Bihar’s Kaimur district and running for about 2 km on the wrong tracks. As per a ToI report, the railways has launched a high-level inquiry into the incident that could have resulted in a major mishap.

The incident occurred on the Grand Chord (GC) route falling under Pt Deen Dayal Upadhayay (DDU) division of the East Central Railway (ECR) at around 7.07 am on Sunday.
