Railway station in Hyderabad gets solar roof

Hyderabad: In a first-of-its-kind initiative by South Central Railway (SCR), a new booking office with a solar panel roof has been constructed at Kamareddy railway station under the Hyderabad railway division. “These types of structures are very useful for small establishments and wayside railway stations in terms of both energy and revenue savings, while ensuring uninterrupted power supply,” said Gajanan Mallya, general manager, SCR.
