Rail Roko at Soro: Halt of 2 exp trains demanded
Members of the Senior Citizens’ Forum on Sunday staged a Rail Roko agitation at the Soro railway station in Baleswar district demanding halting of two express trains.
Senior citizens and youths in a large numbers stood on the railway tracks at the railway station disrupting movement of trains on the route.
The demonstration was held over many issues. The agitators demanded halting of Sri Jagannath Express and Utkal Express at Udanata Pola, an over-bridge near the Soro railway station and development of the station.
“Earlier, the two express trains used to halt at Udanta Pola near the Soro railway station. The passengers from the nearby areas of Soro were getting benefits out of it.
