Qatar opens for fully vaccinated international travellers; grants visa waiver for eligible Indians
NEW DELHI: Qatar has reopened its borders to international travellers fully-vaccinated with jabs approved by its health ministry (Covishield, in India’s case as of now), without the need for quarantine.
What’s more, nationals of about 80 countries — including India — do not require prior visa and can obtain a visa waiver upon arrival to Qatar, says Qatar Tourism.
In the case of travellers from India the same is “valid for 30 days from the date of issuance valid on single trip or multiple trips. This can be extended for a further 30 days. Things (travellers from India) need to apply: a copy of passport (with a minimum validity of six months) and details of return (or onward) travel.”
