PWD sends trial report of Ashram underpass to Delhi govt, formal opening soon

NEW DELHI: The public works department (PWD) has sent the traffic trial report of the Ashram intersection underpass to the Delhi government andis now waiting for the date of the project’s formalinauguration.

“We have sent our report to the Delhi government, saying that it can be inaugurated in the next four-five days. But the date will be decided by the minister,” said a PWD official. The underpass was opened for trial on March 22 after many delays.

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal laid the foundation stone of the Ashram underpass in 2019, but due to the pandemic-related restrictions, the project saw many missed deadlines.
