Pvt varsity student electrocuted, 2 other hurt

A student of a private university at Naraj in Cuttack district was electrocuted and two others were critically injured during the Ganesh Puja preparations on Tuesday.

Some students of the university came in contact with an 11-KV electric wire while carrying an idol of Lord Ganesh to their institution on a tractor. While one student died, two others sustained serious injuries. The injured were rushed to a private hospital in serious conditions.

The authorities of the educational institute and the guardians of the deceased and injured students reached the hospital. As some of the injured students are from outside the State, their relatives were on their way after getting the information.
