Punjab Minister writes to Railways Minister, Seeks upgradation of Anandpur Sahib station

Punjab Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Monday sought up-gradation of Sri Anandpur Sahib Railway station for the smooth stoppage of ‘Vande Bharat Express’ train.

Bains, in a letter to the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, informed that though the Vande Bharat Express train has been given stoppage at Sri Anandpur Sahib, the present station lacks all major facilities such as there is no platform for complete train. There is urgent need of up-gradation of platform besides modernization of the entire station, he added.
