Punjab: Industrialists seek waiver of fixed electricity charges
CHANDIGARH: UT aviser Manoj Parida and UT finance secretary A K Sinha on Thursday interacted with city-based industrialists and traders regarding the problems faced by them during the curfew.
The industrialists demanded complete waiver of electricity fixed charges instead of just deferring the payment.
Naveen Manglani, president of Chamber of Chandigarh Industries, said the UT officials assured that the administration will be extending the date to pay electricity bills without any late fees to April 30. “The UT adviser also assured us that they will actively consider waiving off the fixed charges for the lockdown period,” he added.
