The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved two new corridors under Phase-2 of the Pune Metro Rail Project, setting up a major expansion of the city’s public transport network and widening access across key residential and commercial clusters. The clearance follows earlier sanctions for Line 2A and Line 2B in the same phase.
The decision covers Line 4 (Kharadi–Hadapsar–Swargate–Khadakwasla) and Line 4A (Nal Stop–Warje–Manik Baug), which together span 31.636 km and will include 28 elevated stations.
