Probe into chopper crash may take few more weeks, says IAF chief

The Tri-Service court of inquiry headed by an Air Marshal to find out the cause leading to the helicopter mishap killing Chief of Defence Staff(CDS)General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 12 others will be fair and probe every single angle, IAF Chief V R Chaudhari said on Saturday. He also said the probe will take a few more weeks.

The mishap took place on December 8 when a MI-17 helicopter ferrying General Rawat, his wife and 12 others crashed in Coonoor in Tamil Nadu. The CDS was scheduled to give a lecture at the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.

Chaudhari said the Court of Inquiry will be a fair process and mandate given to it is to investigate every single angle of the incident.
