Probe if Hero Electric, Tunwal violated localisation norms: Directorate of Revenue Intelligence
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has sought a probe into electric vehicle (EV) makers Hero Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd (HEVPL) and Tunwal e-Vehicles India Pvt Ltd, alleging that they violated localisation norms while availing of subsidies under a flagship EV promotion scheme.
An investigation by the DRI found that the EV makers had also allegedly evaded customs duty, sources in the know told ET.
