Prime Minister flags off ‘100 Kisan drones’
In a special drive aimed at helping farmers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off “100 Kisan drones” in different parts of the country including poll bound States-Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Goa–for spraying pesticides and other farm materials and assured full government support to the drone technology startups.
Speaking on the occasion, Modi noted that ‘kisan drones’ are the beginning of a new revolution and India will soon emerge as a global leader in the sector. Farmers can use high-capacity drones in the coming times to transport their produce like fruits, vegetables and flowers to markets in a minimal time, boosting their income.
