Preparations in full swing as new India-Bangladesh train service to start on June 1

Preparations are in full swing at the New Jalpaiguri railway station in Siliguri for the start of a new train service between India and Bangladesh from June 1, officials said on Sunday. Following the successful trial run between New Jalpaiguri and Dhaka, a distance of 595 km, the government of the two countries decided to start the services from June 1, they said.
