Pradhan jibe at AKY promise of free electricity
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday questioned Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav over his promise to provide free electricity in Uttar Pradesh with senior party leader Dharmendra Pradhan asking what the former chief minister had done when he headed the state government.
“Those who gave free gundaraj when in power are now talking of providing free electricity and also claiming that they will construct the Ram temple. People know that police had fired on Ram bhakts during the Samajwadi Party rule,” tweeted Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
“The Congress was in power in the state for forty years. The Samajwadi Party has ruled thrice. Akhilesh Yadav was chief minister for five years. Why was electricity not made free?” Pradhan asked.
