PowerGrid Q4 profit up 52% at ₹3,053.56 crore

New Delhi: State-run Power Grid Corporation on Wednesday reported about 52% jump in standalone net profit at ₹3,053.56 crore in March quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues.

The company’s standalone net profit was at ₹2,010.31 crore in the quarter ended 31 March 2018, a BSE filing said.

Total standalone income of the company rose to ₹9,610.24 crore in March quarter from ₹8,098.93 crore a year ago.

For financial year 2018-19, the company’s standalone net profit jumped to ₹9,938.55 crore from ₹8,244.65 crore in previous fiscal. Total standalone income also increased to ₹35,618.07 crore in the fiscal from ₹30,766.32 crore in 2017-18.
