Power tariff in state unjust, will affect citizens: Consumers panel

Pune: The Maharashtra State Electricity Consumers and Industrial Organization Coordination Committee (ECIOCC) has urged all concerned power consumers to file their suggestions and objections to the recent power tariff hike announced by the MSEDCL authorities.

The committee under the aegis of ECIOCC has threatened to protest the decision. It went on to say that Maharashtra residents were taken aback by the steep increase in power prices on January 26.

On Sunday evening, the ECIOCC office bearers held a two-hour meeting at MMCC college hall, which was attended by several concerned citizens and activists.
