Power sector imports 35 MT coal during Apr-Oct; 13.6 MT for blending: RK Singh

The domestic power sector imported 35.3 million tonnes (MT) of coal during the April-October period of the current fiscal, Parliament was informed on Tuesday.

Of the total imports, the import-based power plants or the plants that run on imported coal brought in 21.7 MT coal, according to the data shared by Union Minister RK Singh in the Rajya Sabha.
