Power sector has investment potential of over Rs 40 lakh crore: Khattar
NEW DELHI: India has an investment potential of over ₹40 lakh crore in the power sector, Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Thursday at a curtain-raiser for a global conference on the power sector.
“We estimate an investment potential of over $345.97 billion in electricity generation and $68.22 billion in transmission and distribution. The energy storage sector alone offers an opportunity of $35.21 billion,” the power minister said while formally announcing the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026.
