In the month of Sep & Oct 2018, the Market Clearing Volume (MCV) for power at Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) and Power Exchange of India Ltd (PXIL) shot up due to sudden reduction in power generation from wind and hydro based power generation, and the tariff reached Rs 15.37 per unit at IEX.
