Power engineers discuss issues, raise demands
The second Odisha Power Engineers Congress was organised by the All Odisha Power Engineers’ Federation (AOPEF) on Sunday through video conferencing. More than 500 Engineers belonging to generation (OPGC and OHPC), transmission (OPTCL) and distribution (TPCODL,TPSODL,TPNODL and TPWODL) sector of Odisha participated.
Er Pravat Ku Dash presided over the meeting. Chairman AIPEF Sailendra Dubey, secretary general Er Ratnakar Rao , chief patron Er Padmajit Singh, AIPEF patron K Asok Rao, former president, Delhi Electricity Engineering Association Mahesh Chand, addressed on the occasion.
The issues concerning the power sector and power engineers in various States were discussed, particularly the deteriorating service conditions of the engineers as a result of privatisation.
