Power Employees’ JAC for dismissal of UPPCL MD, Chairman
The Power Employees’ Joint Action Committee has demanded the dismissal of the Managing Director and the Chairman of UP Power Corporation Limited for the employees provident fund investment scam.
The Joint Action Committee alleged that the money from the power employees’ provident fund was diverted to a non-banking finance company with the tacit approval of the top officials of the UPPCL.
Shailendra Dubey, convenor of the Joint Action Committee, said that Energy Minister Shrikant Sharma had himself admitted that an anonymous complaint was received on July 10, 2019 and the subsequent inquiry report on August 28, 2019 also confirmed the irregularity, yet the Managing Director and the Chairman of the UPPCL took no action.
