Power cuts in parts of Parel due to tripping of feeder

Mumbai: The tripping of a power feeder at Supari Baug in Parel on Tuesday morning resulted in an electricity outage in parts of Parel, affecting a couple of hospitals in the area. A BEST official said that the work was expedited and the power supply was restored within 35 minutes.

Sources said that the power cuts impacted KEM Hospital and Tata Memorial Hospital, which inconvenienced patients and relatives. Sources in KEM Hospital said that there was a lift problem due to the power cuts and a few patients were shifted. Officials said that the supply was restored to normalcy “at the earliest.”
