Power Company to construct 15 EHT sub-stations across state

Chhattisgarh Power Company, with a target to meet the yearly hike in demand of electricity, is working on a plan to enhance the transmission system of state by 2021-22, installing 15 Extra-High Tension (EHT) substations and corresponding additional power lines.

By the end of year 2019-20, the transmission capacity of the state will be 19834 MVA.

Chhattisgarh Power Company’s chairman Shailendra Kumar Shukla said the power company is working on priority basis to fix problematic areas of power supply. So, to distribute the power generated within the state and other sources, more than 36 projects have been undertaken, with a target to complete them within a year, at cost of Rs 1000 crore.
