Potholed roads give residents bumpy ride

Despite tall claims made by the Municipal Corporation (MC) regarding maintenance of roads, roads in several areas of the city are in bad shape. Residents are forced to bear the brunt of this laxity, especially during the monsoon, as they face inconvenience while commuting on waterlogged roads. Mayor Karamjit Singh Rintu claimed to have spend Rs60 crore on the roads during the past two years. However, a number of roads are still crying for attention.

Some major roads have been recarpeted during the past few months but internal roads in various localities are crying for attention.
