Pothole? Call up contractor, says BMC

MUMBAI: In a first, along many streets at Bandra and Khar – Linking Road, Ambedkar Road, 30th Road and 5th Road – the BMC’s H- West ward has put up banners to inform the public that any complaints about bad patches or potholes on the road should be directed to the contractor concerned, Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited.

This is one of five contractors who is part of BMC’s Rs 6,000-crore road concretisation project. One of the banners is placed on 30th Road, Bandra, listingcontact numbers.

Elected representatives, however, said the BMC should not absolve itself of its responsibility and expect the public to rely on contractors for issues concerning public roads.
