Police rethink on Tagore Park site handover to RVNL

KOLKATA: Kolkata Police, which had earlier refused to hand over the site at Tagore Park on EM Bypass so that RVNL could bridge the 76m viaduct gap and complete the next phase of the New Garia-Airport Metro, has had a rethink. The cops are likely to conduct traffic trials at the spot so that the western side of the road can be blocked for Metro work while vehicles move along the new culvert that RVNL has built on the eastern side to create road space.
