Poddar writes to CS on urban development projects

Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar has said that there is a need to improve the methods of selection and implementation of urban development schemes in Jharkhand. Poddar has written a letter to Chief Secretary Dr DK Tiwari and has urged him to intervene in these cases.

The MP has said that there is lack of end and end connectivity in drains constructed along the roads in the State, due to which dirty water is stored in these drains. He has said that the expenses incurred in this type of project is useless and such haphazard constructions pose question mark on the efficiency of the officers/engineers involved in the project.

Poddar has said that the size of utility ducts alongside the proposed smart roads from Birsa Munda Airport to Birsa Chowk and Birsa Chowk to Raj Bhawan. He cited example of just three feet wide ducts in Bangalore and other cities and has urged to follow the same.
