PM flags off Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Exp

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday flagged off the much-awaited Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express from the Puri railway station through videoconferencing.

Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan joined the occasion while Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik participated in the event via videoconferencing.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi remarked that the people of Odisha and West Bengal are being presented the Vande Bharat Express, which is a symbol of modern and aspirational India. “India’s speed and progress can be seen whenever a Vande Bharat train runs from one place to another,” he said.
