Pipeline work blamed for road cave-in at two places
NEW DELHI: Delhi roads suffered two massive cave-ins – one in Janakpuri area and the other in Baba Haridas Nagar. Traffic movement was affected and police have erected barricades at both sites.
“A road has caved in near Possangipur Park due to which traffic is restricted in both the carriageways from Joginder Singh Marg towards Possangipur Village and vice-versa. Kindly avoid the stretch,” traffic police wrote on Twitter.
In Baba Haridas Nagar, a sewer pipeline is being installed, allegedly causing the cave-in.
“We are aware of the incident and have taken preventive steps to fill the cavity in the road. The cave-in is the fault of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
