Phase 2 of Samruddhi Expressway inaugurated: Maha CM, Fadnavis take dig at Uddhav, Pawar over project hurdles

Shirdi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday inaugurated the second phase of the Samruddhi Corridor between Shirdi and Bharvir in Nashik district and took a dig at Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray by claiming hurdles in the project were overcome as “I don’t work from home”.

The Bharatiya Janata Party used to routinely claim Thackeray, as chief minister between 2019 and June 2022, was working from home and not attending office or undertaking hinterland tours despite the state reeling under the coronavirus pandemic.

Asserting that many of the hurdles in the project were deliberately created despite it being key to the prosperity of farmers, Shinde said, “I don’t work from home.
