Petroleum & Natural Gas Secretary reviews progress at Baghjan oilwell

GUWAHATI: Tarun Kapoor, Secretary, Petroleum & Natural Gas reviewed the progress of work at the Baghjan oilwell, which blew out on May 27 and later into an inferno on June 9. Efforts are on to repair the damage.

Kapoor visited the site, along with the CMD and Functional Directors of OIL, to take stock.

He reviewed the progress and expressed his satisfaction on the execution. He held a detailed discussion with the District Administration and briefed them on the next course of action.
