Petrol prices increased by ₹1.3 this month. Check latest petrol, diesel rates
NEW DELHI : With oil prices easing in the first two days of the week, petrol and diesel prices were left untouched for the second consecutive day today. Petrol prices had risen for six back-to-back days till Tuesday. So far this month the price of petrol has increased by more than ₹1.3 while that of diesel has increased by just 4 paise.
In Delhi, a litre of petrol costs ₹74.20 a litre and diesel ₹65.84. In Mumbai, petrol costs ₹79.86 and diesel ₹69.06. If you are in Bengaluru, petrol costs ₹76.74 and diesel ₹68.08. In Noida, petrol costs ₹75.66 and diesel ₹66.15. In Gurgaon, a litre of petrol comes for ₹73.87 and diesel ₹65.18.
Changes in fuel pricing this month has also widened the gap between petrol and diesel by more than a rupee this month. State-run fuel retailers fix prices based on international benchmark rates of the two fuels. So if the benchmark rate of diesel is softening, it will automatically reflect in diesel price in the retail market.
