Petrol price slashed for fourth day today. Check latest petrol, diesel rates
After hitting ₹75 a litre mark this week, the price of petrol was decreased for the fourth consecutive day today. State-run fuel retailers dropped the petrol price by 5 paise a litre while diesel rate remained untouched once again. In New Delhi, a litre of petrol costs ₹74.84 a litre and diesel is priced at ₹66.04 a litre.
In Mumbai, you have to pay ₹80.49 for a litre of petrol and ₹69.27 for diesel. In Bengaluru, the petrol is priced at ₹77.40 a litre and diesel is selling at ₹68.29. In Chennai, a litre of petrol is charged at ₹77.81 and diesel costs ₹69.81.
Petrol price on December 9 touched ₹75 a litre for the first time in more than a year as international oil firms hiked rates. Fuel prices have been on a hike since November 9. Diesel prices have been hovering in between ₹65-66 per litre range last month.
