Petrol price hiked by about ₹2 this month, diesel becomes cheaper. 5 things to know
NEW DELHI : For the fourth consecutive day, state-run fuel retailers increased the price of petrol again today. The auto fuel rate went up by 12 paise a litre, a day after a 10 paise hike. Diesel rate was left untouched today but had fallen by 6 paise yesterday.
In New Delhi, a litre of petrol today costs ₹74.06 a litre and diesel ₹65.73 a litre. In the neighbouring Noida, petrol is priced at ₹76.02 and ₹66.04 while in Gurgaon, the rates are 74.23 and ₹65.08, respectively. If you are in Bengaluru, you pay ₹77.22 for petrol and ₹67.97 for diesel. In Mumbai, petrol price is ₹80.32 and diesel ₹68.94.

1) In the last four days, petrol price has gone up by 46 paise a litre while diesel has become cheaper by 6 paise. Fresh movements has now widened the price gap between petrol and diesel by about ₹2 a litre.
