Petrol, diesel prices stable amid volatility in crude oil rates. Latest rates

NEW DELHI : After crude oil rates fell by 4% and 3% in first two days of the week, petrol and diesel prices were left unchanged for the third straight day today. Petrol price is already at a 5-month low while diesel rate is at its lowest range in the last seven months. So far in February, fuel rates have been increased only once.

In New Delhi, a litre of petrol is being sold for ₹72.01, diesel ₹64.70. In Mumbai, petrol costs ₹ ₹77.67 a litre and diesel ₹67.80. Those in Bengaluru will have to pay ₹74.46 for a litre of petrol and ₹66.89 for diesel. In Chennai, a litre of petrol costs ₹74.81 and diesel ₹68.32.

As the scare of coronavirus spreads to Europe and Middle East, crude oil rates fell nearly 4% on Monday and 3% yesterday.
