Petrol, diesel prices rise 16 times in May

Fuel prices rose for the 16th time in May, setting new records on Monday. State oil companies have raised rates of petrol and diesel by ₹3.83-4.42 per litre in May even as crude oil prices have largely traded between $67 and $69 per barrel.

Petrol costs ₹100.47 per litre in Mumbai and ₹94.23 in Delhi. Diesel is retailing for ₹92.45 in Mumbai and ₹85.15 in Delhi.
