Petrol, diesel price hike hits a pause today

After breaching the Rs 100 per liter mark in several states, petrol prices across the country remained unchanged today as oil marketing companies kept the rates of petrol and diesel unchanged.

Fuel prices have been hiked 18 times in the last one month. In 18 hikes, petrol has risen by Rs 4.36 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.93 a litre since May 4.

In Delhi, petrol is selling at yesterday’s price of Rs 94.76 a litre, while diesel is at Rs 85.66 per litre. While in Mumbai, petrol also remains at an all-time high of Rs 100.98 per litre. Diesel also continues to be at Rs 92.99 a litre, the highest among metros.
