Pbi varsity to save Rs 60L annually on electricity bills

Punjabi University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof BS Ghuman today inaugurated a 1000-kW solar power plant at the varsity’s hostel.

Prof Ghuman said the solar plant would be beneficial as it would reduce electricity bill.

The project has been set up by a Delhi-based Azure Power Rooftop Private Ltd with an agreement to supply electricity at Rs 3.32 for 25 years.
