Pathankot-Mandi NH stretch faces neglect

After the change in the alignment of the Pathankot-Mandi road widening project, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has literally abandoned a 50-km stretch of the busy highway that lies between 61 Mile and Jogindernagar.

In this section of the highway, no maintenance work has been carried out in the past two years. The road is full of potholes and the drainage is choked or covered with bushes.
