Passengers can now buy train tickets and book berth for children below 5 yrs: Railways
On the demand of the passengers, Indian railways on Wednesday introduced an option to purchase tickets for the children who are below the age of 5 years. The fare to sought a berth/seat on voluntary basis for children will remain the same as for adult passengers, the Ministry of Railways clarified.
The statement also clarified, that if passengers don’t want a separate berth for their children under 5 years they can still travel in the train free of cost like before.
