CHENNAI: A passenger travelling from Chennai to Coimbatore aboard an Indigo flight was found to be Covid-19 positive a day after flight operations resumed in the State on Monday.
The 24-year-old passenger was initially put under institutional quarantine in Coimbatore has now been admitted to the ESI hospital.
Over 100 other passengers, who were on the same flight as the patient, tested negative for the viral infection. However, the district administration asked all of them to stay home quarantined for 14 days and contact the health department if they develop symptoms.
