Pakistan fuel prices hit historic highs of Rs 330 per litre after another hike

This week, the Pakistan government announced that it would be hiking fuel prices yet again, taking them to historic highs of over Rs 330 per litre.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance on Friday hiked petrol prices by Rs 26.02 and diesel prices by Rs 17.34 per litre. Following the hike, petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) are currently priced well over Rs 330 at filling stations.

Local newspaper Dawn called the prices “a psychological barrier that has been crossed for the first time in the country’s history.”
