Overseas flight ban to stay until June 28; bubble services exempt
The government on Friday extended the ban on international flights by a month till June 28.
An order issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), however, clarified that cargo flights and limited international flights under the bubble arrangement will continue to operate.
India, which was planning to restart normal international flights by the middle of this year after a decline in Covid infections, had to defer the plan following a record rise in cases as well as deaths during the second wave of Covid-19 that hit the country in March.
